Vegetarian Fried Chicken

We have been in contact with the brand Raw bites (see our blog article about that brand) because we love their products. They sell delicious  gluten-free and sugar-free protein puffs.

From those products, shirien automatically got inspired and create a recipe made out of those protein puffs crumbs, flour and vegan meat to have a high protein vegetarian fried chicken.

Once we tested this recipe we decided to share it to our community and to the brand. So here is our recipe of high protein Vegetarian fried chicken, gluten-free and sugar-free.

Pretty easy to make, you will need : rice flour, corn starch, almond milk, flavors, protein puff Thyme and Sesame from Raw Bites, gluten free bread crumbs, and vegan chicken chunks (we used the brand Heura who make amazing vegan replacement products).

To make this recipe even more delicious, we partnered up with rawbites and used their thyme & sesame puffs!

Ingredients

For the flour mix
Others

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients for the flour mix.
  2. Crush the raw bites puffs into small pieces (You want a consitency such as bread crumbs) and mix with the gluten free bread crumbs.
  3. Coat the vegan heurra chicken in corn starch, dipp into the flour mix and bread it into the raw bites/bread crumbs mix.
  4. Fry in oil until chicken is done and the outside is crispy.
