Gluten-Free Beef Wellington

On those Christmas times, food is one of the most important topics when it comes to spend quality family time. That is the reason why we are trying to provide recipes that fits to those days. Those recipes are either : easy to do, fast, or perfect for those late waking up.

The recipe we want to show you is a delicious gluten free version of the beef wellington, which is originally an english recipe.

To prepare it you will need as main ingredients: vegetable shortening, vegan butter, gluten-free flour mix, sugar replacement, almond milk, starch, beef, and Proscuitto.

The tricky part here will be the manipulation of the gluten-free dough. You have to carefully cover the meat with the dough. If it breaks, don’t worry, as long as the meat is covered it will taste delicious. If your dough is already breaking when you roll it out, add more XAN-GUM and a bit more starch, knead the dough and try again.

As a side dish, to this big beef piece, and to make it healthy and colorful we chose green beans, cooked with bacon and onions. But you can choose whatever side dish you prefer.

Believe us, the mix of, the tenderness of the meat, the inside of the dough made out of pesto and bacon, and the fresh taste of the veggies, will let your guests full and more than satisfied.

If you have a histamine intolerance: Most people with HIT can not eat mustard, prosciutto, or pesto bought from the supermarket. We recommend, leaving those ingredients out, or making your own histamine-free pesto.
